Went on to say how Moreno is a great player, but that we've got some great players ourselves.

Bama fans claim to have no talent when they lose and great talent when they win. Both of those guys can be on my team any day, though.

Our recruiting, for the most part, stunk something fierce under Shula......on top of that, the guys who were talented didn't get coached up all that well :doh: We are still not up there with UGA/UF/LSU talent wise yet, but we are back in the top half of the conference IMO.

Well, if you're a Rivals stargazer, Bama actually averaged a slightly better recruiting class than Auburn during the Shula years. And had tons more All-Conference selections.

I follow the Rivals stuff for fun, but not as a life or death thing. If you look at the NFL draft over the last few years, you will see how woeful we were talent wise.

BTW, from the guys Shula signed I counted 5 guys who have made an all-SEC team. There might be a guy or two that slipped past me though.
