I was thinking about the Housh signing, and the fact that they are thinking the Rams are gonna take Crabtree, etc...

What about this, and not that I'm all in favor of it just yet, but...

Suppose the Seahawks with their 4th overall pick go for QB Mark Sanchez from USC rather than a OL? Stupid, but possible. (I only say that because I want them to go OL, that is not a slap at Sanchez at all, I think he'll be a great QB) I have a feeling that Matt H's back problems are more than just a backache, I think he might be done, or close to. We also know that Seneca Wallace, while he might be in the mold of a Mike Vick in playing style, and Jim Mora Jr. is now our HC, we all know he is a capable back-up, just not a starting QB. Hence, drafting Sanchez.

Vets (and any other USC fan not named Micah), we discussed this in the Seahawks private forum, and I had originally said that there was little chance of the Seahawks taking Sanchez, but I have seen several people on different message boards expressing interest in taking him.

Now with Housh being in the mix, this might be a good fit for Mr. Sanchez!

Eh. Wallace played well while replacing Hasselbeck. I really can't see the Seahawks passing on a chance to upgrade the O-Line.

And the Rams could take Crabtree, but him checking in smaller than expected and not running the 40 hurts.

I hope not.....you 'hawks fans are crazy and drive up the prices on Travis Lulay cards.....if they draft Sanchez.....I'll never own a Sanchez card unless I pull one or a non-'hawk fan trades it to me:doh:;)

I would not be surprised to see them draft him. It would be a good move. I agree with Micah I will hate having to out bid hawks fans though

I think it's an interesting idea for the franchise's future. Mora is going to have a few years anyways to get things implemented, so that should guarantee Knapp at least 2+ years to work with Sanchez (in the same system, a key to improvement). Seneca could eventually give way to Sanchez, who you probably don't want to throw into the fire right away.

Seattle would be great in a seller's role in terms of trading picks, they could move back 6 or 7 slots and probably find Sanchez there if another team really wants a specific rusher or OT.

Exactally, he's a capable back-up, but I unfortunately don't see him leading a team for a full season. I like the guy, don't get me wrong, but I just don't see it.

And Vets/Micah, I had to have bidding wars with those dang Nebraska fans when I was bidding for Josh Brown cards, so I know the feeling! :ban: The problems now is that I can't give the dang cards away!!!!!:boohoo:

No need to take a QB yet, Wallace actually looked effective with what was left of their roster at the end of the year.

Hass should be fine...

I want OL or DL at this point. Id love an edge rusher...

I would love to see Mora get to work with Sanchez. I think Mora is a good coach and if you can give Sanchez a season or 2 to learn to system he could be a great QB :)

Jason Taylor is available....and boy you 'hawks fans are loyal....even to a back up QB....I'm sorry but Seneca is nothing more then that.....the guy isn't a long term answer.

He never said Wallace is the long-term answer. He said Seattle doesn't need to draft a QB yet. I really don't think Jon thinks Wallace is the long-term QB of the Seahawks.

So do you risk Hass' going down and spending another season at the bottom of the NFC West because you didn't grab a 1 of the only 2 QB's in the draft worthy of going in this years first round? They could develop a young guy this year instead of waiting another year....just my opinion though.....look at the Vikings....they keep hoping career backups will fix their situation....Gus Ferrote(sp?)....now Sage what's his face.......Hass will probably go down again this year.....not that I wish harm on anybody......and the hawks are stuck with Seneca.....instead drafting a young guy and letting him get his feet wet.

Good points.

They could also try to land a free agent QB (not sure who) in the future or hope a guy in college separates himself from the pack.

And as long as the Rams are still inept, the Seahawks won't be cellar-dwelling in the NFC West.
