SSDY, college sports has become more about 'entertainment' than competition (lets not pretend academics fit anywhere in the D1 mantra). There are no incentives to scheduling quality opponents, the BCS fails to deliver more often than not. I certainly don't want to take away from the regular season, know some feel playoffs will do that but I'm not one. Maybe I was spoiled graduating DIII, loved the annual tournament (still do), didn't make beating our rivals any worse or better.

sadly though polls are rolling, not stand alone. Ole Miss may or may not be good, but they have a schedule set up to benefit them, don't play florida or georgia at all, and have two tough games at home...

USC number 4 I like it they will have a chance to move up when they play OSU. I know there are alot of haters here but I think that USC could have a great season and get a BCS bowl. I also think since they are having to go with a new QB that will lead them to run alot and give my boy McKnight a chance at the Heisman.

they just have to not choke against a crap team this year. Last few seasons they have bet themselves in the butt. This season I could really see them playing for the BCS Championship. I really like Mays and McKnight, I know they can not do it allow but those are 2 great players that can make a huge difference
