Nice James Loney pick up on Ebay today

got this for 17 bucks, I think it is his first Auto. Now I just need a Ethier, Broxton,and Billingsley chrome autos.

Loney is a great player that is undervalued.

Ya I like loney alot. I met him with a bunch of the other current Dodgers back when they were playing in Las Vegas. They were really nice guys. Loney hits for a good average and has a great glove. I agree with you that he is very undervalued and I would not be surprised to see him make a name for himself in the NLCS.

Loney will stay undervalued until he hits 25 HR's. Just sayin.

Fair point. I personally do not get hung up on HR's he has a career batting average of .295 with a OBP of .451, that is really good and consistent. I do understand what you mean though most collectors all like guys who put up big HR numbers and overlook a players average and glove.

yep especially as a corner infielder. Biggio became a star when he started hitting more hrs as well.

Not sure if Loney will ever be a big HR hitter he might be able to get 20HR's a season but not sure if he will ever reach the 30 HR range. He is more of an average guy which is good for the middle of the lineup. I could see him being a All Star 1st basemen though and it would not shock me to see him win soem Golden Gloves in his career. I just hope LA does not trade him I had heard some talk of it before the dead line this season.
