I'm of the opinion that anyone who collects modern cards thinking they are making a long term investment is delusional. If we are in it for the money then we are morons.

Exactly. I collect because I collect things. I will stop for periods up to a year. I always go back though. I rarely sell stuff off, only to finance other projects.

Agree. When I buy cards it is Giants rooks and others than I want to keep.
Its kinda like the lotto to me every now and again you'll hit something . But its also about players you like or for some to flip if they do good.

I didn't buy as an investment, but I also didn't buy wanting to lost 99% of what I paid.

, Marcus Tubbs, Chris Davis, Taco Wallace...I could keep going as well.Using Courtney Taylor as an example, the only cards I could unload would be the 1/1's, and some of the high end stuff maybe (for pennies on the dollar) and after selling anything of note of Taylor, I'd still have 160 other cards no one wants.
