I'm of the opinion that anyone who collects modern cards thinking they are making a long term investment is delusional. If we are in it for the money then we are morons.

Exactly. I collect because I collect things. I will stop for periods up to a year. I always go back though. I rarely sell stuff off, only to finance other projects.

Jordan Kent, Courtney Taylor, Ben Obomanu, Nate Burleson, Deion Branch, Julius Jones, Shaun Alexander (if bought during 2005), Matt Hasselbeck, Deon Grant, Brian Russell, Leroy Hill, Kelly Jennings, Josh Wilson, Darryl Tapp , Marcus Tubbs, Chris Davis, Taco Wallace...I could keep going as well.
Using Courtney Taylor as an example, the only cards I could unload would be the 1/1's, and some of the high end stuff maybe (for pennies on the dollar) and after selling anything of note of Taylor, I'd still have 160 other cards no one wants.
I never saw them as an investment........ but would like to see them as something I could buy and not lose 90% on.......... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
