Michael Vick probably eliminated any chance of winning the MVP with his performance against the Vikings Tuesday night, but his redemption story has been popular with some, including Barack Obama.

But not everyone has gotten over the crimes for which Vick spent 19 months in prison. Tucker Carlson, on FOX News Tuesday at the same time Vick was playing the Vikings, said he thinks Vick should have been executed for his abuse of animals.

"I'm a Christian, I've made mistakes myself, I believe fervently in second chances," Carlson said. "But Michael Vick killed dogs, and he did in a heartless and cruel way. And I think, personally, he should've been executed for that. He wasn't, but the idea that the President of the United States would be getting behind someone who murdered dogs? Kind of beyond the pale."

I think this guy is a complete moron. Alright Vick did something horrible and he served his time for it he diserves the chance to prove he is reformed. Now I think the President praiseing him was a bit dumb but that is a different story. I am by all means not a Vick fan but come on leave the guy alone already even I am sick of hearing about it.

The president didnt praise Vick, but he praised the Eagles for giving him a second chance. He claimed that not everyone out of prison gets a level playing field, and Vick is the making the best of his second chance. He hopes that this success story will lead to more for others coming out of prison. I for one would want a job in the degree I studied for if I got out of prison, more so than a janitor job, and the president recognizes that fact.

The President did not praise the Eagles when they first signed him he waited until he was in the MVP running. So the whole second chance thing does not make since they gave him a second chance over a year ago. Anyways I do not want to get started on Obama, we should stay on topic. My point was people need to leave Vick alone he has done a good job staying out of trouble since his release and to say he should of been executed is just stupid.

Of course he is going to make a point about it now. Would you rather make a fact known when its hot or when its cold? Anytime would have been appropriate to point it out, but to get more people to recognize it, now would be the best to do it while he was in MVP talks rather than this past off season when Kolb was the supposed starter. It makes all the sense to me.

I think he is a bandwaggon jumper :)

Tucker Carlson is in the business of making people talk about Tucker Carlson. He's successfully injected himself into a story.

I love this video. Just for the fact that he said he was a Christian man and then turned around and did what all Christians do (aka Unchristian things) by saying Vick should have been executed.

Not all Christians are like that. I am not prefect but I try really hard to be a good person and to try and not judge others. Now I do fail quite often but I try to learn from it and be a better person in the future by not repeating mistakes. Anyways I just wanted to say that I think there are more Christains who try to do good then try and spread hate like he has in this video.

Every Christian I have ever known acts this way. They are the quickest to judge someone. They are the best at beating with a book everyone that book told them to love.

I am sorry you have had bad experinces with some Christians but I hope you can try and keep in mind that we are not all that way. I will not sit here and try to convert you or make you see things my way. I think everyone has the right to chose for themself and it does not matter if I agree as long as they are happy.
