Pretty exciting games. That Blackmon is a beast and also a 8 team playoff would be awesome. Even just a final 4 with those top 4 teams woulda been pretty damn good also. Poor OK state will never have a year like they did this year.lol
 
LSU would have beaten either by 4 plus tds. Do not get me wrong Luck is awesome but zero team speed. OK State is good on offense, but most Big 12 teams cannot defend against air.
 
the SEC arguement is that the SEC top x teams will be anyone from any other conference on any day...

i will say that in talking with my brothers father in law this weekend, he wanted OK State v LSU, and also favors with the 'lower' tier does with 8 team playoffs, but even with 8 teams battling, someone is going to feel snubbed...

i think you have the BCS bowls, you take the winners from there and do a playoff out of the winners ending in a National Championship game...you guys quit playing around Turkey Day anyway, adjust the schedule to be over December 1st, have Bowl Games start, to where you have the 'winners bowls' starting New Years day, and the next week National Championship game...
 
I could settle for 4 teams but 8 would be awesome. THEN we would most likely have a true National Champ!! I think we have had a few in the past but several years we have not. Just makes too much sence, I guess to do it. lol

I wish it did, but there is too much money coming in from advertising in bowl games. That is why there seems to be a game almost every night during the holidays. In a playoff format, they get 7 games out of 8 teams in a 3-4 week span. It's not like NCAA basketball where they can play every other day give or take, with a million teams so television channels can get money from advertisers almost 24 hours a day.

Then again they wouldnt have to worry about an air attack from lsu.lol
Shame we dont get to see Okie State against your boys just to see what would happen. They prob would win but we all know that bama cant beat them. We dont know that about osu. Need a PLAYOFF Bad!!!

I still say, why don't they do an 8 team playoff and call each game a bowl game? The lower end BCS bowls could be used as the beginning rounds and then use the more prestigeous BCS bowls for the semifinals and title game.

You can also still have all the other bowls just like you always have had, just with other qualifying teams.
