Football COMPLETE: Casebreakers 2014 Topps Chrome FB 2 Case Group Break #1

Welcome to the next product in the Casebreakers group. I'm posting this thread early as we are skipping the October break and just doing a late November break with 2 cases of Topps Chrome. Because I had ordered 4 cases, I will post an optional 2nd break but you are not required to participate in that one to retain your team ownership. Due to the volume of base cards in this I am also asking for your consideration in taking all but the base vets. If you want all of just one guy or one or two of each that is fine but if you want them all I will ask for an additional $4 shipping charge per team.

Some background on this group; We will break a case (or multiple if low end) of a newly released 2014 FB product and average about a break per month but due to varying release dates we may break a product 2 weeks after the last one and then have a 7 week break until the next one releases so it won't be on a regular schedule. You join by selecting any available team that you would like to claim, and you then have the rights to retain them for as long as you choose to continue in each of our new product breaks. I will do my best to keep the cost to about $50-$60 per slot but price will vary depending on the cost of the product, and of course the more participants we get the more product we can add to the break. We will offer optional draft slots to any interested participants to pick up unclaimed teams.

Some changes; for those of you that participated in my previous breaks, there will be some changes. Due to costs I shut down the Boxbreakers website, don't do the premier Photobucket account, etc. so there will be no pics and all the info will be maintained in this thread. This will be done as a live break. That's a big change for me but I am trying to keep this as simple as possible and promote the banter that we used to get in the early years. I am still trying to avoid Paypal and their tax laws so I prefer payment by either bank check or the easiest is Blowout Gift Cert as that will allow you to pay via CC or Paypal. If direct paypal is your only option, I can make it work...just trying to avoid it if possible.

Usual small print;

• You get every card pulled from your team but I will include all base cards at your request only so please let me know when we break if you want all, just a player or two, or no base at all.
• Hits go to the owner of the team that is stated on the card (not by the uniform worn)
• Cards pulled of unclaimed teams will be randomized amongst all the participants with full priced slots (draft teams will not count as entries in the randomization)
• Multi-player cards will be awarded to the owner of the team that is represented most on the card (ex; a card with 2 Colts, 1 Brown, and 1 Lion goes to the Colts). If it's a tie, it goes to the participant who owns the most teams represented on the card. If that's a tie, it goes by player positioning and will go to the owner of the team on the top (if top/bottom), the left (if left/right), or the front (if dual sided).
• If you decide to not participate in a break, your team will be up for grabs for anyone to claim and they will then hold the rights to retain that team for as long as they choose to continue.

I gotta be honest. This is a lot of money for the same product.

Im in, but Im not sure this is worth it for very many in the group. I seriously think we should do two cases, or two chrome and something else. Just my two cents.

But I love the upcoming products/months!

I hear you. I'd like to get other opinions as well as if that's the concensus I will switch this to a 2 case break and then run a 2nd break for just those interested for the other 2 Chrome cases as they've already been ordered. That's kind of how I already tried to structure it but maybe by totally seperating it out to two different breaks might be cleaner. I guess my thought was by skipping Oct we are still at the normal monthly average cost but I get how 4 cases might be overload for some. I just figured Chrome is usually one of the most popular products of the year for a lot of collectors so I'd put it out there.

I agree. I would not mind doing two cases of Chrome and something else as well, because as a whole you might spend the $$$ for your team for all 4 cases and end up with a $5 autograph card. I will go with the consensus, but would prefer doing 2 cases and something else.

Also interested in 2014 limited, just throwing out the option.

I like the idea of four cases of Chrome. But I would be down for whatever the Majority likes.

If Topps is doing the usual one hit per box, I would definitely prefer to do as few cases as possible. Over the years, I believe that Topps Chrome has been amongst the most overrated product out there.

I'm in for 2 cases. Would rather save my money for higher end products later on. I'll shell it out if necessary, but would rather not do 4 if possible.
