Basketball NBA Rankings?

Varejao put up better numbers than Nazr last year and AV only played like 20 min. a game. And Flip can put up big numbers but I watched him alot last year and he is way to inconsistent and he turns the ball over to much. And anyone that say Nazr is better then Ben is a crack smoking fool. So Detroit will be trashed on by everyone next year and the wont do nothing about it. Chicago is a wildcard who knows how they will play but I will gurantee that they have a better record than Detroit and make it further in the playoffs.

Hey wildthing, this thread will be saved for future references. Anderson Varejao had a couple decent games against detroit off of the bench. You must remember why Nzar left san antonio, Greg Popovich, lost favor of the guy. He averaged 6 amd 6 on 17 mins this year. Varejao averaged 5 and 5 in 16 mins.

Lets see what Nzar can do with 30+ mins a night. I say he gets 10 and 10 easy. Thats just as good of numbers that ben put up last year.


Your just a Detroit hater, as I Im the cleveland hater. No way Cleveland makes it out of round one with out the Refs giving a lot of calls to Lebron.

No way they make it to game 7 in round 2 with out the calls Lebron got. Lebron got some BS calls that Jordan got. Not saying Jordan deserved them, but Lebron has done 0 and gets them. Look what happened when the refs called a fair game (game 7). Cleveland was held to a NBA PLAYOFF Record low 61 points in a game 7. Worst record Lebron has ever been a part of.

I understand detroit is going to have a fall off, buts it not like we lost Richard Hamilton or Billups. To tell me that Detroit is going to lose 15+ more games next year just losing Ben Wallace, makes me find hard to believe. Nzar is no Ben Wallace, but he can put up similiar numbers, and probably will have better numbers next year as a true starter. A job he didnt have all the time in SA.

You are probably one of only two people who think Nazr will put up good numbers. The pther person is his momma. He stinks. They will have no "D" this year. True they have Billups and Rip, but Mcdyess will not play like he did last year he is bound to get hurt again. Hunter is aging Rasheed can only shoot now(Varejao scarred him for ever ). So what are they going to do, make mid range jumpers all day.

And Lebron gets the calls because he is "The King", And what call are you talking about specifically cause most of them was fouls. The true superstars get the call, they are suppose to. Magic,Bird,Dr.J,MJ,and now Lebron will get the calls.

Well see Ill bet you a GU that the Cavs have a better record and go further in the playoff. One GU for each bet. LMK if you have enough confidence in your team to bet.

Nazr ten boards? Not even if he plays 40 minutes a game and he'll get in foul trouble too often for that.
And a lot pf those calls LeBron got were total phantom fouls. The refs just sent him to the line if he missed, figuring the King couldn't miss unless he was fouled.

Nazr can rebound. He definately has the ability to put up double figures in rebounds as a starter. But on the offensive end, he is worse than Ben Wallace (If that is possible).

unlike ben, he has a jumper. He is better the ben on the offensive end.

Lebron doesnt deserve any calls yet. He has done 0, nothing, nada, nil. He is another Young tracy mcgrady that is overhyped. He won't win until he leaves cleveland.


Detroit lost 18 games last year. A lot of the games they won was by 5-10+ points. You guys are trying to tell me, just because we lost ben wallace, we are going to lose 30-40 games next year? BS. I bet if you ask Joe Dumars, that he would laugh right in your face. Joe expects his team to still have a shot at a title. I know that won't happen, but we arent going to lose 30 games either. Probably 25 games at the most

And to comparing Lebron to T-Mac there was no hype on T-Mac his first year. He was not the savior of the Raptors that was VC. Now there games are totally diffrent. Lebron is stronger, a better passer and has a knack at finish after the foul. T-Mac can shoot and penetrate he rarelly plays good D and cant even win with Swift and Yao. James is a winner and T-Mac as much as I like him will never win anything.

The one thing that makes you Pistons a loser now is Flip Saunders. They are not a unit anymore and that was what there edge was on the rest of the NBA. Flip does not lock down and demand excellence ala Larry Brown and that is what they need.

AND JUST REMEBER TWO FLIPS DONT MAKE IT RIGHT.


And it is time to jump off the Detroit bandwagon there run is over. OVER they will not get past the second round next year if they are lucky to get that far.

Its pretty funny that you call flip saunders the problem when the Pistons won 64 games last year. I don't think cleveland has ever won 64 games.

Also, Ill take Ben any day over nzar. I never said I wouldn't. I think Nzar can post similar offensive and rebounding numbers as ben next year. Which he will. No doubt about that. Yes, ben will have the edge in blocks and steals.

I was also refering to Mcgrady and his first year in orlando. All the hype he got.

Josh honestly the Pistons can go 82-0 but they did not win the title. If you have the best record in the league have home court throughout the playoffs and you dont win, then you choked and that is what the Pistons did they choked.

And Flip is the problem. He went to the playoff 8 years in a row in Minnesota and got fired for it. That is because he is not a big time coach. And emember Cleveland chose Mike Brown over Flip isnt that telling you something.

All in all, Cleveland has never won a title, and never will. Lebron will leave in 4 years to goto a major city, and the he will get his first title. If lebron wanted to stay in cleveland, he would of took the max offer on the first day. He basically gave himself a way out if they don't win. Which they won't.
