Who was the first NHL goalie to wear a mask?

ya thats right Clint Benidict was the first goalie to wear a mask, Plante was the second goalie.

For the record, it was a woman, Elizabeth Graham, who was the first goalie to wear a mask (a wire fencing mask), in 1927.

Benedict' experiment was not recorded as the first goalie mask in history. That moment came nearly thirty years later on November 1, 1959 after New York Ranger Andy Bathgate hit Montreal Canadien goalie Jacques Plante with a shot off the face.

I know but he didnt ask for which was recorded but which was the actual in the nhl.
