Football Top 10 Prospects for the 2007 Draft

I wonder what would have happened if the Lions never traded their draft pick (who turned to be Willie Roaf) for Pat Swilling....

I wonder what would have happened if the Lions had the OL of the Cowboys during the mid-90s......

Could you imagine what Barry could have done with holes the size of buses to run through?? Instead he had to run back 20 yards and pull a ton of moves out of the bag just to gain 3-5 yards. its amazing how many yards he gained after all the yards he lost by running backwards. And just think, he could have played 5 more years and SHATTERED the record.

IMO Barry is the best RB hands down. He had no kind of OL and he still threatened to break the record before Emmitt had a chance.

That big QB sounds good to me, is he supposed to be a top 5 pick??

I wonder what the Lions could pull off by trading down.

Thanks
Mike

if there drafting lineman i would go w/ joe thomas from WISCONSIN or if the lions do wut they usually do they will draft another receiver that fails

All i have to say is JaMarcus Russell is the best qb in this draft. Quinn is good but Russell. Just making me think of his arm and potential makes me shiver.

I want both quinn and smith to go before him and have the colts look at him as the future or atleast get him so if manning needs to rest at the end of the year I dont have to watch Jim Sorgi.

Why would the Colts draft a QB in the first when Peyton has like 7 years left. Doesnt make sense for another reason. They need to draft someone to help there run defense .

Yeah I know but i can dream cant I? lol. It was a joke in the first place. I want them to pick up a LB and pray that Simon and Sanders are fully healthy next year.

What is this about the Raiders getting Vick???

Is he getting traded?

Could anyone see Steve Mariucci become the new Raiders Coach since he has some California ties??

There was some talk about him coaching for MSU Football (Michigan State) but I don't think he is.

The Raiders might be a team who would be willing to draft that guy with the BIG ARM so he can throw deep to Moss, but if not then he should surely be there for the Lions.

I just don't know if they would draft a QB thinking about playing him in 07.

Martz is really into Kitna and so is Marinelli. Plus the team supports him so regardless of his skills, he is a "leader" and that is "what the lions need".

I really don't know though, I personally noticed MANY times that Kitna had a wide-open checkdown option and he threw incomplete into coverage (which brings up 3rd and long or 4th down. Then of course he looks all mad like it wasn't his fault that he just made a dumb desicion). I really don't like that, he can't expect to be the guy with the golden arm. 98% of the bad plays are his fault. The other 2% are 1% for the OL messing up and the other 1% is for the WR either dropping the ball or running a bad route.

Geez I could go on forever about the Lions....

I wonder if they could trade Millen for a pick..... LOL

Thanks
Mike

For future references , If want ppl to take it as a joke you have to state that in your post or ppl will think your being serious

Is there any one single player who could instantly make an impact for the Lions??

Ernie Sims had a solid Rookie year, would it be smart to draft another LB in the first or second round??

I really think either a SUPER stud DB or OL could help. But only if the OL is someone you can surely build around for years to come.

another shut down CB would be nice to team up with Dre Bly (even though I don't really care for Bly since he spoke publicly and ripped Joey Harrington last season).

The Lions really do need help on Offense, but where?? RB has Kevin Jones (who should be OK once he recovers from his injury). QB has Kitna and that probably won't change. TE have Pollard and Dan Campbell, WR-Furrey, Roy and BMW. Unless they find someone they think can replace Mike Williams I don't know if they should draft a WR in the top of the draft. Maybe 3rd or 4th round?

I really hope the Lions are aggressive in Free Agency. They need a big name to come in and make an impact.

Any chance Martz could be offered a Head Coaching job and just leave?? That would really keep the lions screwed for another year or two....

Thanks
Mike

AP still has to declare if he does Top 5 locked , CJ still has to declare also ...great prospect , Russell reminds me of Culpepper not sure if that good or bad ;) still has to declare also , I think Jarret will stay back ...Keyshawn said he wasnt ready and I think he will take that advice.

keyshawn said he wasnt ready cause he doesnt want any competition....lol

For the Lions, I think they should get Joe Thomas from Wisconsin. To help with the O-Line. And Brady Quinn, b/c I doubt he will go #1. And Quinn is a good pro-style qb. Then I would go with Antoine Cason from Arizona, if he comes out, he is a great Corner and would really help their defense. No need to replace a safety...they got the stud Daniel Bullocks! :D :p
But overall top 10, I gotta go like this:

1. Calvin Johnson WR, GT (Jr)
2. Brady Quinn QB, ND
3. Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC (Jr)
4. Paul Pozluzsny, LB, PSU
5. Mike Hart, RB, UM
6. Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin
7. Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona (Jr)
8. Laron Landry, S, LSU
9. Marshawn Lynch, RB, WVU
10. Tedd Ginn Jr, WR, OSU (Jr)

^That was tough to bring it down to just 10!

Lions need a QB, I like the Kid from LSU, I am not sold on Quinn
I dont agree, yea he is good. But he makes too many little mistakes. Plus Quinn is in a Pro-Style offense. Yeah, Russell won the head-to-head match up, but ND didn't belong in that bowl game.
