Hiya fellow hockey boardies! My friend Hersh Borenstein, owns a sports memorabilia store here in Toronto called Frozen Pond, and holds regular public signings throughout the year. The first announced hockey one of the summer will be Dallas Stars future HOF'er Mike Modano. I will be attending the signing, and will offer help to all board members wishing to purchase items from this event, at exactly cost, plus shipping, and not a penny more. I have been doing this same service for boardies on spawn.com for the past few years, and wanted to offer the same here to my friends at SC Freaks. If you would like something from this event, please contact me either by posting on this thread, or by private message. All pricing is listed below, and is in Canadian funds. Flat items are $29 Cdn, plus item, plus shipping. They sell pucks at $5 Cdn, and photos are $7Cdn, or you can mail your item to me. It must be in my hands 1 week prior to the event. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Shipping will be exact cost through Canada Post, and you will be required to have delivery confirmation, and insurance on the package. If you would like a signed item, LMK ASAP!! :) (Modano signed 8X10's are priced at $49, and will be after the event, so $29 is a decent savings should you want to purchase an item from the signing)

i would love to get a rookie card signed by him. how much would you charge for me to send 1 to ya to get signed?

You will pay only exactly what it costs me to get it for you. The signature is $29 Canadian, plus whatever shipping will cost to send it back to you, via Priority Mail. Getting a rookie card signed can deface the value of the card itself, but in Modano's case, most of his rookie cards are only a buck, or two anyways, so I guess there really is no risk doing one. Which one would you consider getting signed? I should have an Upper Deck one here somewhere I could give you to save sending one to me. LMK!!

J.S Giguere now added for Sunday August 19th!!! Same offer applies for Giggy! If you want something, LMK!!! :)

He's a little high for me, but please keep us informed anytime you have one of these. I would appreciate it.

Me to! I'd love to have a signed 8X10, but not for $99. That pricing is not the store's fault. That would be Frank Thomas' agent setting that price. Like he needs the money! LOL!!

Frank is a tough guy to get in person though, I've gotten him on two seperate occasions though.

LOL, kinda thread hijacking this (sorry), but he really is a nice guy. He gave my brother the bat that he used for batting practice when it ended one time. It is one of his prized items.

Also saw him one time walking into a local Dairy Queen with his kids while I was walking out (LOL).

Thanks,
Ryan

Trying to find a stick to get signed, and I think I saw this one at a sporting goods store here in town called National Sports with his name (M Modano) on it. They had 3 different colored, and 3 different priced RBK versions. This is from 2005 Team USA. Going through Getty pics, and I must say he's used a bunch of different sticks! He's currently using a Warrior, and earlier in his career used several Easton Synergy versions.
