Bench Warmer
I may be trading for this card and I was told the BV is 1,000 and Sell Value is 550.00 I dont know much about baseball but 1909 is very old and the condition of this card doesnt look to bad there is a crease on it. I was hoping to get some insight from the Great Baseball Gurus here on Freaks :D

If that is an original and not a reprint or counterfeit, then I would trade, but not at a 550.00 sell value due to the crease and condition of the card. I would look somewhere in the sell value of around 50.00 - 100.00, if that. The condition of that Marquard would probably be a PSA 1, or even non-gradeable. Here are some examples of graded Marquards.

The Maris, I would trade at low bv due to the Off-Center top to bottom and left to right. If it wasn't for the horrendous centering (no telling how the back is centered) It would be a really fine example of the "60 Maris due to the sharp corners and what appears to be a clean front. Remember, when buying or trading for vintage cards, always look at the afore mentioned factors as well as surface, back and edges...........buyer beware of counterfeits, and poor grade vintage. Corners are just a small part of the overall value of vintage cards.

Do you happen to know the BV he stats it would grade a 7

1960 Topps 377 Roger Maris $60.00 $100.00Remember, The 100.00 bv is for a nmnt example and the 60.00 bv is for a ex-mnt example, but a PSA 7 with an OC qualifier would significantly lower the value to around right around 40.00 bv and a sell value of less than that. See my examples below, one of which is a PSA 7 with no OC qualifier

I suggest sending those 1909's to PSA to get them authenticated , not graded.
My thoughts exactly.....even graded they'd be worth less than 50.00. Tobacco cards are very prominently counterfeited and reprinted. In fact, I wouldn't even deal for a tobacco card unless it was authenticated
