Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said Thursday that he was told by the Calgary Flames on Wednesday afternoon that star winger Jarome Iginla would be traded to Boston.

When a player holds a no-trade/no-move clause in his contract, there's really nothing a team can do if they don't want to go to one team, but prefer another one. As a GM, you have to make the best deal you can under those circumstances, and get something back in return that you hope helps the team in the future. Pittsburgh has as good a shot to win it all this year as any team, so it was a no-brainer to get Iginla to come there. Should be a good playoffs this year.
