I buy a card from somewhere and it comes in a non-ruined top loader. Every top loader I've gotten lately is covered with scotch tape :doh: For jersey cards, some people don't bother putting it in a top loader but taping it between two small top loaders. I'm having to knife my way through 18 layers of tape to get to my cards these days....and I have a giant stack of cards that needs top loaders but I don't have money for them since I keep buying cards with useless topholders :doh:

crap i left a croyle jersey out of it..oh well you will get another package
 
i fold the tape over so it can be easily peeled off, and i bought 400 toploaders and got yugioh holders :ban:
 
Generally with a single card, I use a post it note. Fold it over the top of the loader and put a small piece of tape on the back of it. Some jersey cards are tough though. I know I don't have much in the way of holders for those. I currently have about 60 jersey cards sitting in one of those Playoff tins from 06.

Like with Leaf Limited 07, I have two Deion Branch jerseys. No offense to Deion but they don't deserve to be stored in a thick one-touch. They should be in a thick top loader. Problem is, I can't find any. My shop only has thin and slightly thicker. Then it jumps to top loaders for freakin barrel cards.

The post it notes work great, they are easy to get off. With the Branch jerseys, wouldn't it be alot simpler if the seller sent a proper top loader with the cards:lollol:

yeah but I understand why he didn't give one. I won the card for .99. The top-loaders that are good for those are hard to find. Honestly, I prefer two taped top-loaders over bastard who shove the card in to a smaller loader. I almost effed up one of the Branch cards.:ban:
 
I either use already used top loads or do the Jason Wilson thing (not Yugigoh). Fold the tape, so it easily comes off....hopefully :pray:

That is a big pet peeve of mine as well, especially if the top load is brand new (since I can't buy any within 200 miles of my house :cry: ).
 
Stefan, I have to disagree ... I know you like it when you get a nice holder, BUT the auctions are generally for the card itself not the card and nice toploader! I think so long as it gets there safely, it's your responsibility to protect and display it properly.
