2009 NFL Draft Middle Linebacker Rankings

Bench Warmer
Middle Linebacker:
1) Rey Maualuga (USC)
2) James Laurinatis (THE OSU)
3) Darryl Beckwith (LSU)
4) Stanley Arnoux (Wake)
5) Jasper Brinkley (South Carolina)

Mid-Late Round Value: I'm not sure in this year’s ILB group. Was thinking TCU’s Jason Phillips before he tore his meniscus in March, but who knows if that altered his mid-round stock.

Class Grade: C+ /C

Still a lot easier than some positions. It's even more of a mess trying to sort out DE's and OLB's. :lolol:

I know Curry is an OLB, but I think he'll be the best MLB from this class. He's a three-down guy. Brinkley would be higher if not for the injury concerns. Hell, he probably would have been a first-round pick last year.

1. Aaron Curry, Wake Forest
2. Rey Maualuga, USC
3. James Laurinaitis, Ohio St.
4. Scott McKillop, Pittsburgh
5. Jasper Brinkley, South Carolina
6. Dannell Ellerbe, Georgia
7. Darry Beckwith, LSU
8. Worrell Williams, California
9. Antonio Appleby, Virginia
10. Josh Mauga, Nevada

Enough Curry from you! He's mixed in with the 150 other OLB's. ;)

Wasn't that impressed with Worrell Williams' play at Cal. I didn't see much of a difference between him and Ronnie Palmer (Arizona), who probably won't even get drafted. However, he's now a mortal lock to the 49ers because of these statements.
