Happened a couple days ago, but, Mike Jacobs traded to the Royals

Was owed a HUGE raise by the Marlins, so, par for the course, they shipped him to the Royals for reliever RHP Leo Nunez. Marlins have options at 1st, but, this just shows that the Marlins still don't want to pay everyone, only Hanley :naughty:.

It was a smart move for Florida, IMO. They have guys in the upper minors that can probably do the same as Jacobs' bloated stat-line.

Agreed. Jacbos is a piss-poor version of Adam Dunn, minus the walks. I'd say good riddance to him.

And now Kansas City has Jacobs / Butler & Shealy at 1B / DH :doh:. I love Shealy, but it doesn't look like he'll get a chance to play in KC either .
