Basketball UD Sticker Serial #s???

This is a first for me. You can barely see it in the scan but its REALLY obvious when you look at the actual card. The damn serial number is a sticker.

a lot of them are like that....some are hidden better than others.

If you look through some of them (especially lower end products) you will see it...probably on cards you have looked at 100's of times and never noticed!

I got one where the sticker isn't even clear, it's like a white P-touch sticker.

I know with the SP Threads football the numbers were stamped in but had a small sticker over top of them. In all other football products they are stamped though. not familiar with hopps stuff though

I seriously need to open my eyes. All of the #d cards I have are (other than 05-06 Trilogy RCs) stamped on the card. Dont get me wrong. I'm not trying to be picky as all hell. but the damn sticker looks like it was made with a label maker LOL

In the past UD and Fleer used Stamped numbers. Then they would do a "Layover". Basically putting a sticky adhesive over the number to authenticate it. This way people wouldnt just you a press and re number or number cards that were never numbered.

This can easily been seen in Fleer autographics from 99-00. They have autos numbered to 250 and you can see a layover of fleer holographic type material.
