Summer of 2018 will be day of reckoning for most NBA teams

So in the NBA the salary cap jumped a few Summers ago. In the Summer of 2016, there was a big jump. Last Summer there was a smaller bump. But in 2018 the cap is actually expected to level out. This means teams that went spending crazy in 2016 will now have to dump salary or pay that luxury tax which is a killer now. The cap is expected to spike up in 2019 though. So teams that spend in 2018 or have max cap space in 2018 will be in even better shape come 2019. Next Summer will present some interesting opportunities for bad teams or rebuilding teams to get better through a few lopsided trades and acquisitions. Coming from teams just looking to dump players to avoid the luxury tax penalty.
