Bench Warmer
Well McCourt has allowed 100Mil for the total payroll and here is how it shakes down:

Players being paid who are no longer on the team
$7,000,000 Juan Pierre
$3,200,000 Andruw Jones*
$2,500,000 Jason Schmidt
$1,440,000 Orlando Hudson
$1,250,000 Nomar Garciaparra
$200,000 Will Ohman
$15,590,000 Total

Starting pitching:
Starting pitchers (5)

$13,000,000 Hiroki Kuroda
$4,000,000 Chad Billingsley
$500,000 Clayton Kershaw
$405,000 Charlie Haeger
$401,000 Scott Elbert
$18,306,000 Total

Bullpen (7)

$3,500,000 Jonathan Broxton
$4,500,000 George Sherrill
$1,500,000 Hong-Chih Kuo
$450,000 Ramon Troncoso
$425,000 Ronald Belisario
$405,000 James McDonald
$400,000 Carlos Monasterios
$11,180,000 Total

Starting lineup (8)
$10,000,000 Manny Ramirez
$8,500,000 Rafael Furcal
$6,000,000 Casey Blake
$6,000,000 Russell Martin
$5,500,000 Andre Ethier
$4,000,000 Matt Kemp
$3,500,000 James Loney
$409,000 Blake DeWitt
$43,909,000 Total

Bench (5)

$1,850,000 Jamey Carroll
$750,000 Doug Mientkiewicz
$405,000 Chin-Lung Hu
$401,000 Xavier Paul
$400,000 A.J. Ellis
$3,806,000 Total

All of this adds up to a grand total of $92,791,000 mil which means the Dodgers have a whole 7.2 mil left they can spend on the roster for next season. Now if Ned was not a worthless piece of crap they would not have to $15,590,000 to a bunch of guys who no longer have anything to do with the team and then would have $22,790,000 they could spend to bring in some better pitching but instead I am left watching the Giants put together a pretty good team while the Dodgers are sitting around wondering which McCourt to listen to. At least they filled the the second base whole with Jamey Carroll

Colletti is to blame for some of the past moves, but he can't be held accountable for anything this year. If the Dodgers had a half-way competent (and not broke) owner, they would have already some significant moves to improve the team.

The McCourts are to blame for the Dodgers' problems this off-season.

They have done nothing but ruin the team since they got it this is a direct reflection of Ned's and their negligence. While I agree with you that if they were not divorcing they might have spent some more money this year I disagree that it would of made a difference. Every BIG move Ned has made has been a huge failure.

If they weren't such penny-pinchers, they would have had Carlos Santana to either use as a trading chip for Halladay or Lee or as a replacement for Martin, if he was traded.

I'm not defending Ned. Lord knows he's made some horrific moves. But he can't be held responsible for the owner being a cheap ass MF'er.

Just sell the team (to Mark Cuban) already!

I wish they would sell to Cuban he would have the team fixed and in the WS in 3 seasons max. Last season they should of Let Manny's butt rotted and just let Jaun play instead of giving Manny that crazy contract. I said it last offseason and everyone thought I was crazy not wanting Manny but boy was I right. Now they have traded Jaun for next to nothing heck they should of sent him to the Tigers and at least Dontrelle Willis. I know Dontrelle is not the greatest but he could be a nice lefty for the bottom of the rotation and would be alot cheaper then some of the guys they have wasted money on.
