we are getting a new coach! just saw it on the news and went to there site.... is this good or bad? I'am not really sure myself what do you think?
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Brian Hill is out as the Orlando Magic's coach after two consecutive losing seasons and a first-round sweep in this year's playoffs, an official in the NBA said Wednesday.
Hill and the club were still negotiating his exit, and it was not clear whether he resigned or was fired, said the official, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the situation was not entirely resolved. The Magic were prepared to offer Hill another job with the team, the official said.
Some fans have been upset Hill didn't give rookie J.J. Redick and post man Darko Milicic more prominent roles in the rotation, and Charles Barkley criticized the Magic on national television for slow progress in Dwight Howard's offensive game. Orlando took the now 21-year-old out of high school with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 draft, and Howard has made steady strides. He appeared in his first All-Star game this season and led the league in dunks, but critics say that's his only offensive option.
