July 4th is a great American holiday, and Richard Petty is a great American! I can't think of anyone more closely identified with their sport than The King himself, he made NASCAR what it is today! His wins are legendary, as is his kindness...he would always greet fans outside the track and sign for them, his ornate signature often taking 20 or more seconds per fan!
He wanted everyone to go home happy, and many people don't know that he is also a very talented mechanic, working on all of his own race cars over the years with his team!
You gotta admit, this is a SHARP photo!
So in honor of the Holiday, here goes! Pick a number between 1 and 30, one guess per day for the duration of the contest! Winner announced on Wednesday the 5th, or when the right number gets picked, whichever comes first!! Stop on by, pick a number, have some fun!!
