NASCAR products are back baby!!!!! oh yeah!
Don't get me wrong...I am a Detroit Tiger Fan...but let's be honest...with a 9-5 record (.642 winning percentage), should Verlander have started the All Star Game for the American League?

For those of you that missed the game: Verlander pitched ONE (1) Inning, and gave up FIVE (5) Runs. Of course, with Bautista playing way-off-the line with two lefties (who are known for pulling their hits) batting...with the hits going into the corner...well, that helped score four of the runs.

NOT making excuses for JV. I think he would have been a better fit to come in later in the game...or not at all.

...also...guess the game proves that the Home Run Derby is meaningless. Doesn't do any good to win the Derby if you can't get a hit during the REAL game.

Thoughts?

David Price would have been the logical choice, but he was only going to be allowed to throw one inning. As it turns out, that's how long Verlander lasted, too.
