I fixed the link.
I identify quite a bit with the 72 Dolphins as well as the next few seasons they played. At the time I had just started playing junior league football on a team named the Dolphins, and as Miami rolled to their undefeated season we did as well. We even wrote to Shula and he or his assistants sent some logo stickers for our helmets for the next season. For the next 3 seasons we remained champs and always identified with the Miami Dolphins. I agree totally with the author that Miami didn't and doesn't get the respect they deserved for the perfect season. While they may not have had the toughest of schedules, they still won. Like they say "Any given Sunday anything can happen" and they could have put a loss in the books but didn't!
