just playing devil's advocate here

1. it's a 3rd year auto...
2. NO WAY Chris Paul is equal to Adrian Peterson in their respective sports
3. As stupid as it is... some people don't like BUY IT NOW's... I have seen cards set on BUY IT NOW for $30 then relisted as normal auctions and sold for $40-$50+.. just doesn't make sense

PG and RB equal respectively not like a C and OLB
Paul Top 3 PG
Peterson Top 3 RB
even a Peterson 3rd year would go for $30 BIN

and thus,

WHY COLLECT BASKETBALL?

Hey NB would you take a Demeco Ryans graded rookie for that Paul?

I'll throw in this one also.

If you just press BIN on there and shut it down (provided you see this in time) we can post the deal for Ryans and Berkman.

To answer your question.

Not everyone who collects does so for money, the reason i collect basketball is because it is my favorite sport. If you collect strickly for money purposes you are in it for the wrong reasons in my opinion.

I STRICTLY and not strickly, got in the BKB break just to help sell it out. Having gotten one of the better cards in the break, and 15 more hits, yet not breaking even- I have no clue why anyone would collect the sport. If money has NOTHING to do with collecting, someone should have offered $100 for the Paul, right?

You missed the point of my post completely!!

I never said money had nothing to do with collecting, i staited that if someone is collecting strictly for money then they are in it for all the wrong reasons.

And why would anyone collect basketball? the same reason someone would collect hockey, baseball, football, or any other type of collectables.

Simply because they like it.

BUT there's real value in the money you spend on the other sports. A $100 Malkin auto sells for $70, a Griffey $100 auto sells for $60 and a $100 Manning sells for $65. It allows one to "like it" a bit more. In basketball it seems every collector out there only wants to buy LeBron or Jordan autos for half book value.
