Better RB?

Who was a better RB, Herschel Walker or Reggie Bush?

First off, I just wanna say it's a little silly to argue about a player that played well before you were born, you probably haven't seen more than 50% of the carries he's had, you have probably seen reruns of just big games and highlight tapes. With Reggie Bush you could've easily seen him playing 75% of the time due to the exposure that USC gets nation wide, and how many of their games are on TV.

Now it's just my opinion that he's better, but every time Reggie touched the ball everyone held their breath. The crowd, the people at home, the oppositions defensive coordinator. He was such a multi-threat where you could put him out wide and he would draw so much attention from the defense that before you know it Lendale White was up the middle for 8 yards.

Reggie also returned punts and kicks, and was an excellent receiver.

Once against, just my opinion:

1. Jim Thorpe
2. Reggie Bush
3. Herschel Walker

Herschel Walker was arguably the most dominant offensive player in college football history. He's consistently in the top three of greatest college football players (not just college runningbacks). Barry Sanders, Earl Campbell and Archie Griffin were great running backs, but Walker was a force. There's a reason Minnesota gave up half a football team to get him (regardless of how he then underperformed at the pro level).

It's probably just a generational thing.

The only times I've seen Herschel is highlight tapes pretty much, and thats what? 1% of his career?

Based on?

you have a poll, which means it is someones opinion so i gave it..but i agree with TJ..reggie returned kicks, caught passes, did it all..of course reggie isnt going to run over anyone, he isnt that kind of player..its like comparing apples to oranges really..reggie had better players around him, walker was the entire offense, two different running styles, two different players

Your wife's vote doesn't count. Phileagles vote doesn't count.
:boohoo:

Why are they not legal citizens? Typical of you changing the rules to make yourself sleep better. My wife has forgotten more about football then you will ever know. For you to say that their votes do not count is just another show of your immaturity.

Your wife never comes to this site, but all of a sudden she shows up to vote in this poll and then leaves? Phil's vote doesn;t count because he hates college football and picked Bush to mess with me. If that is how you want to play, I could call up all my friends and they would come on here and pick Walker (becuase they actually know what they are talking about).

I read the post and don't post back a lot of time because of some people are rude about my comments. Two I actually know what I'm talking about. I'm sorry that I didn't side with you on your silly debate on why you have sand in the no-no areas. Thanks for playing but now you have just gone over board!

Thanks for making your 15th post. I don't know what this place would do without your contributions. :salut: If you truly knew what you were talking about, you would not have picked Bush. I bet Pete Carroll would pick Herschel Walker.

Why did you make this thread anyway if you're just going to argue with everyone who disagrees with you? It seems like you just wanted some attention or something.

By the way, I'm abstaining because I never got to see Walker play in college. However, Bush did some amazing things on the field in his time at USC.

ok...... just sit there for a mins chill out , but on some big girl panties and start acting your age. This is why I don't come on and post anymore. I get sick of the childish games and the way that some of you guys can just do what ever you want and nothing happens to you.

I "argue" becuase people vote and then walk away. The first post clearly asked them to discuss. I guess people can't read. I haven't seen one good explanation as to why Bush is better. Not seeing Herschel play is not a good explanation (for those that picked him and said nothing).

Everyone that picked Bush says they don't know much about Walker. Everyone that knows something about both players picked Walker. It is pretty idiotic if you ask me. That is why I argue their posts of "Bush is better". Its not hard to see. With you being a sports writer I would think that you would understand that. Have you ever written an article and gave you opinion without backing it up or supporting it? I doubt it?

As for you saying I need attention... I made the poll to get away from the thread with vets constantly talking about USC's history (which nobody was disputing...). Is that against the rules?

Can I put it this way?

If I had to choose one player to build my team around, it would be Reggie Bush.

All I am asking is for you to support your choice. Your husband claims you have forgotten more about football than I know, so lets see it. Do you even know anything about Herschel Walker? Coming on here and clicking a button and walking away does nothing for the discussion.
