I love that quote!

Neat design on the Stabler.

Longtime Oilers Center Carl Mauk gave Gifford Nielson (Clean Cut Mormon Boy) the nickname "Milkshake". When asked why he called Nielson Milkshake, he said because Stabler would come into the huddle smelling like Bourbon and Nielson smelled like a milkshake..lol

The original "Manster"...Mild mannered off the field, but ferocious on it. Somewhat akin to Merlin Olsen.

Loooking Goood!!!!

The Lilly and Reed are sharp, I expect Reed to make it in very soon.

I saw some place where Olsen, Lilly, and Greene were considered the top DT's.

I bet Stabler gave Chamberlin a run for his money.lol

Nevers was a 60 minute player who played FB on offense and LB on defense. He was known as a player who could throw, kick, pass, run, and tackle well. Nevers was a member of the inaugral 1963 HOF class and often compared to Thorpe and Grange in regards to his all around talent.

Nevers also played pro baseball giving up HR's to Babe Ruth.

damn nice Olsen dave...i have shades of him destroying an o-linemen and smothering a rb to the point where could not even see him, definately one of the greatest of all-time

nice add dave..those all-americans are hard to beat for vintage..the 4 horsemen is a cool one!

I've always thought the 4 horsemen card wasx neat as well. I wish it was alot cheaper.

Thanks for posting that on Campbell. IMO it was Campebell's agility that separated him from Lewis. Lewis did not have the same wiggle in his hips and quick feet.

The Fearsome Foursome was great but they also later added Youngblood, Dryer, and Bacon at some point. I'd love to know how any of those 60's or 70's Rams teams did not squeeze out a Super Bowl.
